How To Start A Healthy Week

If Monday was a weather forecast, it would be dull, wet, and windy. Why has it come to this that a Monday is the most depressing day of the week.

Yes you enjoyed your weekend off with friends and family. Yes you enjoyed going shopping and having a few drinks. Yes you relaxed and watched sports all weekend.

The weekend is now over and you should feel refreshed and ready to go. Monday should be the beginning of a successful week and if every week started out so amazing then imagine what can be achieved.

It is time to sack the weather man and report that from now on Mondays should be Clear, Sunny, and Still. They are a day of happiness, peace, and efficiency. There is no need for an umbrella on mondays anymore as nobody is raining on your parade.

Mondays are all about the 4 Ps – Positivity, Preparation, Productivity, Pursuing.

Start your week off with as much positivity as you can. With a positive attitude you will feel happier and be ready to take on the world.

Tell yourself that you are going to go for a run on your Lunch break. Tell yourself that you will be hitting the gym straight after work.

With a positive mindset, pretty much anything can be achieved. The world is your oyster!

Preparing your work, food, and weekly routine is the key to a successful week. If you have your week structured then there will be no slip ups.

If you attend any gym classes then make sure you book them the week before. If you have a busy week traveling from meeting to meeting, then make sure you prepare the correct food in advance so you don’t go in a Mcdonalds drive thru.

As the saying goes ‘Failing to prepare is preparing to fail’.

Start the week off by completing any tasks that are important. Sometimes ignoring emails is the best thing to do on a monday morning as by lunch time you have completed a few key projects.

When it comes to your health it is important that on a Monday you start as you mean to go on. Hit the gym and put in a monster workout, and make sure you eat well throughout the day.

If you are productive on a Monday then this will continue throughout the week.

Tell yourself what you set out to accomplish this week and accelerate down the path to these goals on a monday.

Mondays are Usain Bolt in the starting blocks and you want to get out of the blocks with the best start possible. It puts you in the driving seat for the rest of the week.

Pursuing your goals feels so good. If you set out to achieve something and can feel you are on the right track, then it just gets easier and easier to achieving anything you like.

In conclusion, if you follow the 4 P’s to ensuring a successful Monday then you will have a successful week. Without a positive mindset you will already face your first barrier. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. Being productive on a Monday means being productive for the rest of the week. Pursuing your goals ensures these goals will be achieved and self motivation and achievement will accelerate you down the path to success.

Now smile and go kick some ass!
